Owner/Client:

“OAO Mosinzhproekt” / JSC “USK MOST”

Cost of works:

€ 617 million

Period of Activity:

2013 - 2014

The Kozhukhovskaya line (Кожуховская линия ) is the rapid transit line, planned by the Moscow Metro company, that will become operational in 2016. The new metro line will connect the district of Nekrasovka, in the southeastern area of the city, with the center of Moscow, and it will be developed in parallel to the existing line - Tagansko Krasnopresnenskaya - TKL (the two lines intersect near Lermontovsky Prospekt). The line terminates at Aviamotornaya Station on the Kalininskaya Line, where a new interchange station will be built with the same name. The design and construction of the entire line has been divided into two lots/construction phases: Phase 1: Section between Nekrasovka station and the switching shaft at pk.67, including the tunnel connections with the Rudnevo depot and TKL line. Phase 2: Section of line between pk. 67 and Aviamotornaya station.

— Project Description:

The overall length of the line is 6.5km and it consists of two, parallel, circular tunnels with an average inter- axes of 15m, an internal diameter of 5.5m and 5.4m respectively, with cover ranging from 5m to 14m. The connection with TKL line is 700m and the connection with Rudnevo Depot is 967m. The geology along the alignment is mainly characterized by a sequence of layers of sand, silt and clay with weak geotechnical and geomechanical properties. The water table is quite shallow, and located a few meters below the ground level. For the excavation of the running tunnels 5 EPBs owned USK MOST will be used. The stations (length of 250m and width of 22m) will be built with C&C method top-down. The retaining structures will be made up of diaphragms with a length up to 40m. Various consolidation works are planned along the line, in particular using the method of jet grouting and/or dewatering by deep wells.

— Description of Services:

Final Design of Stage 1. Specifically, Geodata’s responsibilities include the design of civil works including geotechnical engineering and cost estimates of tunnels (for a total length of 2.600m) and the following underground works:

  • Saltykovskaya Ulitsa Station
  • 2 water collection reservoirs
  • Tunnel ventilation shaft

In addition, Geodata was responsible for the Building Risk Assessment (BRA) and monitoring activities along the line between the station Nekrasovka and TBM disassembly chamber including the branches to Rudnevo depot and the TKL line.
