Olmedo Multipurpose Water Resources Project

Olmedo Multipurpose Project involves the studies in phases of Pre-feasibility, feasibility and Detailed Design for irrigation, flood control and drinking water supply, including the technical, economic, financial, social and environmental studies. The project covers an area of 2,104 hectares for irrigation and a supply for population of 15,189 inhabitants.

The aim of the project was to analyze the technical, economic, social and environmental viability of Olmedo Multipurpose Project in pre-feasibility, feasibility and final design stages for irrigation, drinking water and flood control purposes. The project includes the design of dams, tunnels, pumping stations, pipelines, water treatment plants, water supply networks to urban and rural centers, irrigation networks and drainage, involving various specialties such as geology and geotechnical engineering, agronomy, sociology, environmental impact assessment, watershed management, economic and financial evaluation, etc.
