Douera Multipurpose Project is part of a hydraulic system for stocking and irrigating the 17,200ha Mitidja area, approximately 20km SE from Algiers, including the design of three earth dams (one principal and two saddle dams).

— Project Description:

The construction of the main dam (85m-high), with inner clay core, requires earthworksof about 6,624,690m 3 . The reservoir area is approximately 10km 2 extended with a storage capacity of 100 million of m 3 . The protection dams (A and B) are respectively 19m-high and 32m-high, with earthworks capacity until 915,000m3. The project includes also the construction of the intake works and the 436m length diversion tunnel.

Feasibility study, final and detailed design, works supervision and technical assistance to the owner during construction. Structural and geotechnical monitoring .
