Lyon – Turin High - Speed Railway Line

The new Lyon-Turin high speed rail link is located at the border between Italy and France. It is a stretch of Corridor 5, which is planned to connect the cities of Kiev (Ukraine) and Lisbon (Portugal).

— Project Description:

The new railway connection between Lyon and Turin has a length of 74.2km. The alignment includes both underground and complex surface infrastructures. The most important underground works include:

  • 53km-long base tunnel, with two parallel tubes and an internal diameter of 8.40m;
  • 12km-long Bussoleno Tunnel, with two parallel tubes and an internal diameter of 8.40m;
  • A 510m-deep ventilation shaft;
  • 5.6km-long Val Clarea ventilation tunnel;
  • Foresta portal in middle of the Bussoleno tunnel, as access way for the construction.

Surface works include:

  • Connection system with the existing line in Saint Jean de Maurienne;
  • The viaduct crossing the Arc river;
  • 1.1km-long Cenischia Stream Viaduct;
  • Two new passengers stations.

The Project includes MEP works, complete railway system definition, safety assessment for base tunnel and EIA analysis.

— Description of Services:

Advanced Preliminary Design of all underground civil works for the French side and Final Design of all underground civil works for the Italian side. Detailed geological studies, including realization of geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological modeling and related risks.
