Delsitanisagua Hydroelectric Project involves the construction and operation of a hydroelectric plant with a capacity of 180MW to be located on the Zamora River, in the Province of Zamora Chinchipe.

— Project Description:

The project will have a regulated volume of 420,000m 3 a 34m-high conventional concrete dam, a power intake channel for a discharge of 42m 3 /s of water, a 8km-long headrace tunnel with an excavation diameter of 4.9m a 70m-high surge shaft with a diameter of 15m, an underground vertical steel penstock with a diameter of 3.3m, an open air power house equipped with three 60MW- each Francis turbines (for a total installed capacity of 180MW), and a 138kV-transmission line for a total length of 30km. The foreseen annual production of electricity is 1200GWh.
