— Project Description:

The project has been developed and implemented in different steps, and the line is partially in operation since 2006. The portion in which Geodata was involved included the detailed design of the running tunnel for a length of approximately 5km (Internal diameter of 8.44m), excavated by EPB-TBM, and the detailed design of 7 stations (Las Ferias, Palotal, Santa Rosa, Michelena, Lara, Cedeño and Miranda). The stations were built before the tunnel excavation with an inverted cut and cover method. The design paid particular attention to the correct dimensioning of the electro-mechanical installations and to the entrance–exit of the stations in order to be functional and safe for passengers.
