— Project Description:

The second phase of the Rios Orientales Project includes the realization of different water collection works. The water collected by Pucalpa, Semiond, Quijos Sur-Norte, Cristal, Tablón, Blanco Grande Rivers will be conducted by 3 small tunnels to the existing reservoir located in the Papallacta site (capacity of 38,000m 3 ). The 3 small tunnels, whose total length is over 17km, will be excavated by conventional method (D&B) in two geological contexts: basement rocks of the “Cordillera Real” formation and complex volcanic rocks (intermediate to acid types).
