The location of the Bougous Dam is in the Bougous River, approximately 12km east from the El Tarf’s city, northern of Algeria. The aim of the project is to provide drinking and industrial water supply to the downstream habitants and the flow adjustment to the downstream Mexena Dam.

— Project Description:

Design and Construction of an earth dam, part of a hydraulic system for stocking water. The dam is 71.30m high with a storage capacity of 66Mm3. The project also includes the construction of several related hydraulic works among which, there are the intake tower and the diversion tunnel.

— Description of Services:

Evaluation of the geological and geotechnical characteristics of rock masses for the earthworks (excavation and movement) planning and quantification of the excavated volumes. Critical analysis and recommendations on the adopted excavation methodology.
